Kingston Square, Hull (2009 - still a working theatre)
Laurel and Hardy played in HULL on two
tours. w/c 7 July 1947, at the New Theatre.
They stayed at the Royal Station Hotel, Hull.
The second occasion was w/c 7 December 1953 when, this time,
they appeared at the Palace Theatre.
Hull has the distinction of being the very last piece of British soil that
Stan and Babe trod,
as they left here on 3rd June 1954 on board the merchant ship the
MANCHURIA.
