Laurel and Hardy came to Brighton twice - three times if one counts an afternoon visit to Max Miller's house.
Their first stage appearance was w/c 7 July 1952, at the Hippodrome Theatre.
Stan and Ollie returned w/c 8 February 1954. On both occasions they stayed at the Grand Hotel.
It's makes me happy to report that, against all odds, both venues are intact and still attracting custom.
